Apply Now to Submit a Team for the ACS Surgical Jeopardy Competition Held On September 28-29, 2026 at Clinical Congress 2026, Washington, D.C. 

We are excited to offer again this high-energy, interactive competition event, which has become one of the most popular sessions at Clinical Congress. It offers a fun and spirited opportunity to showcase surgical knowledge and teamwork on a national stage. Both Chapters and Residency Programs are invited to submit a team for the chance to be selected to participate. A limited number of teams will be chosen. Completing the application does not guarantee participation.

New for 2026

This year’s competition will take place over two days, September 28-29, 2026. Qualifying games will take place on Monday, September 28, 2026. The semi-finals and final games will take place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. This new structure will allow us to accommodate 4 additional teams this year, bringing the total to 36.

Please note that all team members must be available and present for both competition sessions on September 28th and 29th, 2026.

Required Team Information

  1. Name and location of ACS Chapter or residency program
  2. Name and contact information for Chapter or program leader
  3. ACS Member ID, name, and contact information for both team members

Team Member Requirements

  1. Team members must be ACS Resident Members in good standing
  2. Team members must be comfortable speaking and writing in English
  3. Team members must be available to participate on both days of the competition, September 28 and 29, 2026.

Teams will be randomly selected. Due to time constraints, participation is limited to 36 teams. Selected teams will be notified in early July. Please note that ACS does not cover travel or hotel accommodation for contestants.

As a reminder, chapters interested in hosting a local Surgical Jeopardy competition for residents may request the necessary materials, including questions, answers, handbook, and scorecards, HERE.
