Oppose the SAVE Act White Coat Day — April 27

Please join the North Carolina Medical Society on Thursday, April 27, for an advocacy day at the legislature.

It is likely the SAVE Act will be included in this year’s budget bill. We need your help to STOP it.

We support physicians’ involvement in patient care. Team-based care among physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and other clinicians is designed to provide the most appropriate care to patients based on their unique needs. The SAVE Act fractures patient care by removing physician involvement and does not explicitly prohibit nurses from performing complex medical procedures like surgery.

Read more about the importance of physician involvement and the implications of the SAVE Act here.

It is imperative that you join the effort to educate our legislators about the dangers of eliminating physician involvement in patient care. Please make your voice heard!

To participate, please RSVP to Hannah Rice at hrice@ncmedsoc.org, and please share this notice with your colleagues.

Residents, fellows, and medical students are welcome too.
Thank you!
